Aromatherapy is defined as the use of
essential oils, naturally derived from aromatic plants, trees, leaves and roots, carefully distilled and bottled for their therapeutic and aromatic properties. An essential oil can have more than a thousand naturally occurring chemical molecules, which are responsible for its therapeutic health benefits.
When essential oils are blended according to similar therapeutic molecules, their combined synergy promotes their health benefits, amplifying the healing effects.
These powerful oils are primarily used by two main routes: olfactory and cutaneous
absorption. Essential oils appeal to our sense of smell, stimulating the limbic
system. This may invoke the power of memory association, and for example the
scent of lavender may remind you of your grandmother. As well, certain scents may
invoke a mild sedative effect on the central nervous system, calming and relaxing the
mind. Essential oils used topically can provide many therapeutic health benefits.
As they are easily absorbed into the skin and into the blood stream, they can
be calming to the nervous system, and immune-modulating via the lymph. The
essential oils are active the first 20 minutes in the blood stream, and fully eliminated
from the body within 90 minutes.
Using essential oils for health is a powerful therapy that works on the physical and
subtle aspects of the whole body. Veeva formulas for stress, anxiety and sleep are
specifically formulated to enhance the balance and health of our nervous systems
thereby increasing wellness and healing. When the mental body is relaxed and at
ease, our physical body remains healthy.
THE BLENDS
The Peaceful DAY Blend contains patchouli, ylang ylang, sweet orange and clove. This warm, earthy and grounding blend is designed to battle stress and anxiety. These essential oils form a therapeutic synergy to serve as a nervous tonic.
The Peaceful NOW Blend is refreshingly relaxing. The essential oils of ylang ylang, frankincense, geranium, vetiver and lime combine to balance and tonify the
adrenal glands, reducing the affects of anxiety and stress, and uplifting the spirits.
The Peaceful NIGHT Blend is formulated with essential oils of clary sage, Roman chamomile, lavender and mandarin, possessing calming, sedative qualities that act as not only a neurotonic, but also collectively soothe the sympathetic nervous system facilitating a restful sleep.
HOW TO USE IT
Pure Essential Oil Blends
Aromatherapy is extremely effective and very simple to use! Aromatically, the essential oil blends can be aromatically diffused into the air via a diffuser or nebulizer. The essential oil blend is added to a water based ultrasonic diffuser, that
uses ultrasonic vibrations to break the essential oils into therapeutic molecules that are released into the air. Through our olfactory system, we breathe in these therapeutic molecules and obtain the desired therapeutic effects.
Roll-Ons
When used topically, these formulations are added to a jojoba-coconut oil base which allows for nongreasy, immediate entry into the skin. Best rolled onto the inner arm, solar plexus, alongside the spine, and soles of the feet, the therapeutic synergies are
directly absorbed into the blood stream. The roll-ons are convenient and can be used anywhere. Put them in your travel or gym bag, your purse, your car, or your desk so you have access to them any time of day. Plus, we're recently upgraded our roll-ons to include flower essences for extra emotional support.
Mists
They can be used as body mists or room sprays at home, office or cottage, or even in the car. They're also great for gym bags and yoga mats. Use less or more, as you need. Pure essential oils and Dr Edward Bach's flower essences are in a base of distilled water, a coconut-based emulsifier and organic glycerin.
